UC Santa Barbara junior Skylar Burke propelled the Gauchos to a pair of road victories for a first career nod as Big West Player of the Week. 

The guard scored a career-high 25 points with 11 rebounds for a second double-double of the season as UCSB knocked off top team Long Beach State 77-68 on Saturday. Burke was a perfect 9-for-9 from the floor with three assists and a pair of steals in the winning effort.  

The Couer d’Alene, Idaho, native also contributed in Thursday’s 68-53 win at CSUN. Despite a rough shooting day, Burke dished out five assists and collected five rebounds while coming up with four steals in the game.   

Burke currently ranks eighth in The Big West for rebounds per game (6.40) despite standing just 5-foot-8, the shortest player in the league's Top 10 leaders by three inches.
