Megan Norris Leads UC Davis to Three-Win Week to Earn Player of the Week Honors

  • 8137Leading UC Davis to a three-win week, redshirt senior Megan Norris has been named Big West Player of the Week. The award is a second career nod, also earning acclaim back on Dec. 23, 2024. 

  • Norris helped the Aggies to a win in the Causeway Cup last Monday, Nov. 24, finishing with six points with nine rebounds, three blocks, three assists and four steals in the overtime road thriller at Sacramento State.  

  • The redshirt senior from Menlo Park, Calif., then posted back-to-back double-doubles at the Tiger Turkey Tipoff in Stockton, Calif, serving as both the offensive and defensive catalyst for the Aggies.  

  • On Friday against Jacksonville State, the center went off for a season-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting while snagging 11 rebounds in the 69-59 victory. 

  • Against Milwaukee the next day, Norris secured 15 rebounds to go along with 17 points for a fourth double-double of the year, which ranks tied for 10th nationally.  

  • Norris leads The Big West in average rebounds (10.8) and blocks (2.25), with both figures standing in 18th in NCAA Division I.  

  • Up next, UC Davis hosts defending regular-season champion Hawai’i in Bold Week competition on Thursday before a road contest at Gonzaga on Saturday.
