  • 8042After back-to-back banner performances for Long Beach State, sophomore JaQuoia Jones-Brown earned a first career Big West Player of the Week award. 

  • Jones-Brown opened the week by setting a then career high with 19 points with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals against California Baptist.  

  • The guard from Atlanta, Ga., followed it with a career-best 29 points on 56 percent shooting in a tightly contested matchup with Sacramento State, leading all scorers in both contests. 

  • Through four games, Jones-Brown ranks second in The Big West in scoring at 18.3 points per game while adding 6.3 rebounds per game, to show versatility and impact on both ends of the floor.
