Megan Norris of UC Davis Nabs First Career Big West Player of the Week Honor

  • 8137UC Davis center Megan Norris led the Aggies to a comeback road win to secure Big West Player of the Week for Dec. 23. The award is the first career nod for the redshirt junior. 

  • Norris finished with a 19-point, 15-rebound double-double in Wednesday’s 14-point comeback at Idaho, a 65-58 win for the Aggies. Eight points and six rebounds came in the fourth quarter of play. 

  • The Menlo Park, Calif., native was 4-of-8 from the three-point line to go along with a career-high tying rebounding effort in compiling a season’s first and seventh career double-double. 

  • Norris also added two blocks in the contest, upping the season average to 1.27. Norris rates in the top 10 in The Big West in both blocks (7th) and rebounds (7.4 - 4th).
