- Long Beach State's Kam Martin scored 25 points to take home The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is Martin’s first career weekly honor from the league. It is the second consecutive time that Long Beach State has won the award after Devin Askew earned the accolade last week.
- The freshman guard compiled a game-high 25 points with three rebounds and three assists in Tuesday’s 76-70 road win at San Diego. The Montgomery County, Md. product shot 80 percent (8-for-10) from the field and a perfect 100 percent (5-for-5) from long distance.
- Long Beach State is currently on a three-game win streak with a 4-8 overall record. On the season, Martin is averaging 8.4 points per contest, shooting 51.4 percent (19-of-37) from behind the arc.
