- Long Beach State's Devin Askew averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 5.0 in two conference victories to take home The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is Askew's first career weekly honor from the league.
- The Beach senior compiled a game-high 16 points with six rebounds, three assists and three steals in Thursday's 73-56 road win at Cal State Fullerton.
- On Saturday, the LBSU guard amassed a game-best 28 points, shooting 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from the floor and 80 percent (4-of-5) from behind the arc, to go along with six rebounds, seven assists and seven steals in a 76-68 home victory over Hawai'i.
- Long Beach State is currently 3-8 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Askew is averaging 17.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.0 steals per contest.
