• Cal State Fullerton guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. averaged 18.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in two wins to earn The Big West Player of the Week honor, presented by Hercules Tires. It is Wrightsell Jr.'s second weekly honor from the conference this season, having won the first on Nov. 21.
• The junior shot a combined 48 percent (12-of-25) from the field, 50 percent (7-of-14) from long distance and a perfect 100 percent (5-of-5) from the charity stripe in the two wins.
• Wrightsell Jr. scored a game-high 26 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with less than four seconds left, in a 62-61 home win over then-first place UC Irvine Thursday night. The Omaha, Neb. native shot 53 percent (8-of-15) from the floor, 71 percent (5-of-7) from 3-point range and 100 percent (5-of-5) from the charity stripe and also added five rebounds.
• Wrightsell Jr. had 10 points with four rebounds and three assists in only 26 minutes of play as the Titans route Cal Poly Saturday on the road 65-36.
• Cal State Fullerton is currently 12-11 overall and 6-5 in Big West play. Wrightsell Jr. averages 15.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
