Cal State Fullerton’s Riddlesprigger Named Big West National SAAC Representative

Cal State Fullerton senior women’s volleyball player Maya Riddlesprigger has been named the next Big West Conference representative on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Riddlesprigger’s appointment officially began on July 1. She is the first national SAAC representative in women’s volleyball for the Big West and the first from Cal State Fullerton to represent the conference at that level.

In her role, Riddlesprigger will serve as the conference voice on the National SAAC committee, providing insight into the student-athlete experience, as well as offering input on rules, regulations and policies that affect the lives of student-athletes on campus.

Riddlesprigger, who has served on the Big West SAAC for the last two years, helped conduct the first diversity, equity and inclusion campaign at CSF, connecting both athletes and coaches to gather statements on those essential topics. She also helped bring focus and attention to mental health issues to the campus community.

A Business Administration major, Riddlesprigger is a three-time member of CSF’s Dean’s List and a 2019 Big West All-Academic Team honoree. She also served as president of the CSF SAAC and as a College of Business of Econocmics Student Advisory Board member.
