IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2021) – The Big West has announced Sara Perry as its Director of Marketing & Digital Media.

In her role, Perry will lead The Big West’s strategic marketing efforts in the areas of social media engagement, marketing initiatives and brand strategy. She will also take a leadership role in working cooperatively with The Big West membership to devise and execute growth campaigns to build interest and to help tell the stories of Big West student-athletes.

“I am very excited to welcome Sara Perry to The Big West,” Commissioner Dan Butterly said. “Her skills as a visual storyteller, combined with her marketing acumen, will expand The Big West brand, engagement and reach. Her creative and leadership skills and an overall ‘can-do attitude’ will best serve our membership while engaging our student-athletes and fans across the nation.”

Prior to The Big West, Perry worked as the Social Media Manager and Program Coordinator for the Allan “Bud” Selig Sports Law and Business Program at Arizona State University. During her time at ASU, Perry created digital content and media campaigns as well as planned program events aimed toward student and recruitment engagement. Perry also worked with sports industry leaders to create networking and job opportunities for students in the program.

Additionally, she worked for the Arizona Coyotes for three seasons and the Arizona Diamondbacks for one season. During her time with both organizations, Perry worked in Game Entertainment department and helped execute in-game promotions and entertainment.

A native to California, she graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2017. Perry also received her master’s degree in Sports Law and Business from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU in 2018.

“I am honored and excited to join the team at The Big West,” said Perry. “I look forward to creatively engaging audiences through both further defining and expressing our guiding mantra, Only The Bold.”

Perry is set to join The Big West effective December 6, 2021.
