Cal State Fullerton remains the NCAA Division I leader in attacks per set (42.79) and digs per set (19.75). UC Santa Barbara’s 13.58 assists per set rates third with 14.44 kills per set coming in fifth in the NCAA, and tops in The Big West. The Gauchos also lead The Big West in hitting percentage (.262), with Hawai’i right behind at .243. Playing big at the net, the Rainbow Wahine is the No. 1 conference team in blocks per set (2.62) and opponent hitting percentage (.180). CSU Bakersfield is The Big West service line leader, averaging 1.60 aces per set.
League Leaders
Individually, Rowan Ennis (UC Santa Barbara) is ninth nationally in hitting percentage (.427). Kashauna Williams of Long Beach State is averaging 4.04 kills per set, with Hawai’i setter Kate Lang assisting on a Big West best 10.48 plays per set, narrowly edging Cal State Fullerton’s Elizabeth Schuster’s 10.44 assists per set. Josephine Ough of UC Davis is leading the league in blocking with 1.36 per set as Amber Igiede of Hawai’i is up to second in the Big West averaging 1.33 blocks per set. Cal Poly’s Peyton Dueck is all aces at the service line, averaging 0.41 per set to pace the conference. The Big West’s leading point-getter remains Brooke Van Sickle of Hawai’i, averaging 4.56 per set.

Home teams were tops yet again in the eighth week of play across The Big West, earning victories in nine of 11 matches on the home hardwood. The exceptions to the pattern were UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis, who split their road trips over the weekend.
