• UC Irvine guard Kayla Williams led the Anteaters to a sweep of conference foe Cal Poly last weekend, earning her Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.

• The redshirt freshman started the series with an all-around effort, recording 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 34 minutes.

• Williams then supplied the heroics in the game two overtime win, scoring a career-high 32 points which included seven three-pointers. She also added five rebounds, five assists and four steals while playing 43 of 45 minutes.

• Williams leads UCI in scoring (15.3), assists (4.8) and steals (2.3) in her debut season, powering the squad to a 4-0 start in conference play.
