• Earning her first career Offensive Player of the Week award, Claire Grouwinkel erupted for four goals in a pair of UC Irvine wins.

• The sophomore forward entered the weekend with two career goals. Her first two career braces led the Anteaters past San Francisco (3-2) and San Diego (2-1).

• Grouwinkel notched her two goals against the Dons within a three-minute span of the second half. Both goals came on breakaways. Grouwinkel’s first goal came 12 seconds after in response to USF’s first goal of the match.

• Against the Toreros, Grouwinkel struck twice once again within a three-minute stretch. She put the Anteaters in front, 1-0, taking a long feed from Alex Karlowitsch and beating the Torero keeper at 23:31. Grouwinkel gave UCI a 2-0 lead at the 26:33 mark as she won her 1v1 battle with the keeper, slotting her slot low and to the left for her fifth goal of the season.

• Grouwinkel is tied for third in the Big West with five goals. She scored her four goals this week on just five shots.

• Alexis Mata collected her second Defensive Player of the Week honor – fourth of her career – as she posted back-to-back shutouts for Hawai‘i.

• Mata made a total of 10 saves in victories over North Dakota State (2-0) and Grand Canyon (4-0) on consecutive days.

• It marked the second time in Mata’s career that she claimed two straight clean sheets, the first coming last year on Sept. 5 and Sept. 15 against Idaho State and Arizona State.

• Mata had six saves against North Dakota State and four more versus Grand Canyon.

• Mata ranks second in the Big West in shutouts (4) and saves (51).
