Offensive Player of the Week  Cassie Villanueva, Cal State Fullerton | Senior • Forward • La Mirada, Calif.

• Cal State Fullerton forward Cassie Villanueva contributed to three goals during a perfect week for the Titans to claim Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors for Sept. 7. This is the first Big West weekly award of Villanueva's career.

• Villanueva opened the scoring from the penalty spot against former side UNLV before assisting on another first-half goal in a commanding 6-1 victory.

• The forward delivered Sunday again, scoring the game-winner in Cal State Fullerton’s 1-0 triumph over Portland. Villanueva has recorded two game-winning goals, four total goals, and 11 points this season.

• Cal State Fullerton finished the week at 2-0, outscoring UNLV and Portland by a combined 7-1 margin.

Defensive Player of the Week  Mia Owens, Utah Valley | Junior • Defender • San Clemente, Calif.

• Utah Valley defender Mia Owens anchored a pair of shutouts at the OUTRIGGER No Ka Oi to claim Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors for Sept. 7. This is the first Big West weekly award of Owens' career.

• Owens played all 180 minutes as the Wolverines blanked Washington State 1-0 before shutting out New Mexico State 4-0.

• The junior helped limit the two opponents to just 11 combined shots and six attempts on goal without conceding a score, earning OUTRIGGER No Ka Oi All-Tournament Team honors.

• UVU completed a perfect 2-0 weekend with back-to-back shutouts to capture the tournament title.

Rookie of the Week  Maya Yoshimura, California Baptist • Freshman • Forward • Honolulu, Hawai'i

• California Baptist forward Maya Yoshimura scored twice off the bench to collect Big West Rookie of the Week honors for Sept. 7. This is the first Big West weekly award of Yoshimura's career.

• Yoshimura netted the first two goals of a CBU career during a 33-minute appearance in the Lancers’ 3-0 victory over North Alabama.

• The forward placed all three shot attempts on target and struck twice in the final 15 minutes to help CBU pull away.

• Yoshimura’s brace helped the Lancers secure their fifth consecutive shutout to open the season.
