MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Sophomore Lamine Diane collected his fourth career Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award – and first this season – as he posted his ninth and 10th double-doubles to help CSUN go 2-0 in conference play.
• The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 27.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocks in CSUN’s wins over Long Beach State (73-64) and Cal State Fullerton (99-92).
• Diane shot 48.8% (20-of-41) from the floor and made two of his five three-point attempts.
• He notched 23 of his game-high 28 points in the second half against the Beach, shooting 8-of-12 in the frame and adding eight boards. He helped the Matadors earn just their second victory at the Walter Pyramid since 2008.
• The Dakar, Senegal native followed with 27 points and 14 rebounds against the Titans. Nine of those boards came in the second half.
• Diane leads the Big West with his 10 double-doubles in 17 games this season. His 30 double-doubles (in 50 career games) makes him the active Big West leader.
• Diane, who has scored 20 points or more in 12 of 17 games this season, helped CSUN into a second place tie in the Big West standings at 8-6. The Matadors reached eight conference wins for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
