Big West Champion Hawai'i’s Season Ends in First Round of NCAA Tournament

No. 13 seed Hawai‘i, winners of the 2026 Big West Championship, fell to No. 4 seed Arkansas by a final score of 98-78 in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament at the Moda Center.
 
The Rainbow Warriors end their season with a 24-9 record. It was the sixth NCAA Tournament appearance in Hawai‘i program history and second representing The Big West. The Razorbacks improve to 27-8 and take on High Point in the second round of the tourney.

The Razorbacks started the game with 11 unanswered points and never looked back. Arkansas increased the gap to 19 points, 26-7, with 11:30 remaining before the intermission. The Rainbow Warriors responded and made it a single-digit game, 36-27, on a 3-pointer from Isaac Finlinson with 6:47 left in the first half, but Arkansas brought its lead back to 18 points at halftime, 54-38. 

Hawai'i nearly matched the Razorbacks in points in the second half, 43-42. The Rainbow Warriors got as close as 11 points, 58-47, on a dunk from Dre Bullock with 17:15 on the clock, but Arkansas had control the rest of the way and cruised to victory. 

Bullock led Hawai'i with 21 points, eight rebounds and three steals, all team-highs. Isaac Johnson pitched in 15 points, with three 3-pointers, and five rebounds. Finlinson put away 12 points. Isaiah Kerr recorded 11 points and five assists off the bench. Hunter Erickson dished out a team-best six assists.
