MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Eddie Stansberry became the first Hawai‘i representative to collect three Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week awards in one season.
• The 6-foot-3 guard helped engineer a dramatic comeback that propelled the Rainbow Warriors to an 80-75 victory over CSUN on Saturday.
• Stansberry scored nine of his team-high 22 points in a game-closing 32-10 run that enabled UH to overcome a 65-48 deficit with a little over 10 minutes to play.
• His three-pointer kickstarted the comeback – one of five treys in the game for the sharpshooter – and another three brought UH to within two at 72-70 with 3:40 remaining.
• The San Francisco native posted his 11th 20-point game – the second-most in the Big West this season.
• In playing the entire 40 minutes, Stansberry also contributed largely on the defensive end, serving as the primary defender on Terrell Gomez. Stansberry helped limit Gomez to 13 points, seven below his average. Gomez took only eight shots all game.
• Stansberry filled out his stat line with three rebounds, three steals, an assist and a block.
• He made 8-of-19 floor shots, including 5-of-12 from three-point range and sank his only free throw attempt.
