Freshman Lane Collects Third Women's Hoops Honor

• For the third time this season, UC Santa Barbara double-double machine Ila Lane claimed Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades.

• The 6-foot-4 forward/center notched her league-leading 16th and 17th double-doubles of the year in UCSB’s pair of wins over CSUN (65-60) and UC Riverside (65-47).

• Lane averaged 18.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in the victories, enabling the Gauchos to move into third place in the Big West standings off the team’s first 2-0 week in conference play.

• Lane had 19 points and 13 rebounds in the CSUN victory. She added three steals and a blocked shot.

• Against the Highlanders, Lane produced 17 points and 12 rebounds – including three on the offensive end – and added a steal in 31 minutes.

• The Moraga, Calif., native shot 48.3% (14-of-29) from the field for the week.
