• Ezra Manjon led UC Davis to a pair of victories against UC Santa Barbara and CSUN to earn his second Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award this season.
• Manjon is the conference’s first true freshman in 46 years to earn multiple Player of the Week awards in one season. Clifton Pondexter of Long Beach State accomplished the feat on Feb. 11 and 18 of the 1973-74 season.
• The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as the Aggies utilized a potent offense to defeat UC Santa Barbara (84-75) and CSUN (110-98).
• Manjon shot 52.4% (11-of-21) overall and was a perfect 13-of-13 at the free throw line to lead UC Davis to its second and third consecutive victories.
• Manjon was directly responsible for 36 percent of the team’s offense in a historic victory over CSUN. The 110 points scored was a program Division I record. He tallied 16 points and dished a career-high eight assists, leading to an additional 24 points on the scoreboard.
• He finished off an all-around complete game against the Matadors with a career-best seven rebounds.
• Against the Gauchos, Manjon produced his fourth 20-point game of the season with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including a three-pointer and 5-of-5 at the line.
• Manjon’s performance helped the Aggies jump from fifth in the league’s standings to second place. He had nine assists against four turnovers for the week.
