• Cal Poly guard Abbey Ellis had three strong efforts in the Mustangs' three games a week ago, leading the team to a 2-1 record and earning Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolades.
• The sophomore started the week with an exclamation point as her shot with 1.2 seconds remaining lifted Cal Poly to a home win over Santa Clara. Ellis recorded 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the victory.
• In a matchup the following day against the Broncos, Ellis was a terror on the defensive end with eight steals in the win. The total is tied for the seventh-most in a game in the NCAA this season. She also added 17 points, five rebounds and five assists.
• Ellis finished her week with a 22-point showing on the road against Cal Baptist. She also added four rebounds, three more steals and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line.
• For the week, the native of Yallambie, Australia averaged 19.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 2.3 assists. She was also a perfect 14-for-14 from the foul line.
