CSUB's Green Earns Historic Weekly Women's Hoops Honor

• CSU Bakersfield sophomore Lexus Green powered the Roadrunners to a big season-opening road win over California, earning her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors. Green is the first player in school history to claim the award as a member of the Big West.

• The 5-foot-5 guard recorded a game high in scoring (15) and tied for the game high in assists (5) to lead the 'Runners to the win. She also added three rebounds, two steals and committed only one turnover in 38 minutes of action.

• Green also spearheaded a strong defensive effort that saw the Roadrunners hold the Golden Bears to 30.2% shooting for the game and just nine points in the fourth quarter.

• The win was the fourth for the program over a PAC-12 school and second under head coach Greg McCall.
