• UC Riverside junior Connor Cannon blasted his way to a second straight Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award.
• The designated hitter hit .588 (10-for-17) with five extra base hits, including three home runs in the New Mexico series, and finished the week with a 1.235 slugging percentage.
• Cannon, who leads the Big West with 12 home runs, has hit six of those bombs over the last seven games.
• He posted his second multi-homer game of the season with a pair of jacks in an 18-10 win at New Mexico on Friday. In that game, he set the school record for single-game RBI with eight.
• He homered for the third time against the Lobos in an 11-10 loss on Saturday.
• Cannon also had a double on both Friday and Saturday, and finished both games with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate.
• Leading a Highlander offense which scored 41 runs over four games, Cannon played a role in 17 of them with six runs scored and 11 more driven in.
• The Riverside native now owns a 17-game hitting streak.

JACK DASHWOOD, UC SANTA BARBARA – BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

• UC Santa Barbara sophomore Jack Dashwood secured his second Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award this season with a dominating performance against UC Davis.
• Tossing a three-hit complete game shutout, the southpaw threw a gem in the 7-0 victory – the 11th straight win for the seventh-ranked Gauchos.
• It was Dashwood’s first career complete game.
• Dashwood took a perfect game into the seventh inning when Aggie shortstop Tanner Murray led off the inning with a single. After allowing a second consecutive single, Dashwood escaped harm from a first and second no-out situation with a strike out and a double play.
• Dashwood did not walk a batter and struck out five in his 90-pitch stint.
• He is tied for second in the Big West with six wins, is 6-0 overall, and sports the fourth-lowest ERA in the conference at 1.75.
