Julia Lombardi homered twice and Trish Parks tossed 12.0 scoreless innings as this week’s softball honorees.
JULIA LOMBARDI, LONG BEACH STATE – FIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK

➜ Long Beach State senior Julia Lombardi posted her second career Big West Softball Field Player of the Week award – and first since 2016 – as she was instrumental in a series victory over CSUN to close out the regular season.
➜ Lombardi batted .556 (5-for-9) with three runs scored and five RBIs to help the Beach take two of three games from the Matadors.
➜ The outfielder homered twice in the series for her fourth and fifth jacks of the year.
➜ Lombardi’s two-run bomb in game one proved the difference in the 7-6 win. She finished the contest 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk
➜ She posted her second two-hit effort in a 9-1, five-inning victory in game two. She had a pair of RBI singles to contribute to the run-rule rout.
➜ Lombardi tied the game in the sixth inning of the series finale with her second home run of the series.
➜ She finished the week with a .600 on-base percentage and 1.222 slugging percentage.

TRISH PARKS, CAL STATE FULLERTON – PITCHER OF THE WEEK

➜ Cal State Fullerton junior Trish Parks threw 12.0 scoreless innings over three appearances against UC Riverside to capture her first career Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week award.
➜ The right-hander was the winning pitcher in Saturday’s 8-0, five-inning win that clinched the Big West regular season championship for the Titans.
➜ Parks threw a two-hit shutout – her third of the year – against the Highlanders. She walked one and struck out seven. She allowed only three baserunners in the game.
➜ She came on in relief in the regular season finale, tossing 6.1 scoreless innings in a 2-1, eight-inning win. Parks scattered three hits in collecting her 10th win of the season.
➜ Parks made a brief appearance in a 4-2 loss in game one. She retired both hitters she faced in her 0.2 innings of work.
