Cal State Fullerton and Hawai‘i swept their Big West opponents with important contributions from Deshea Hill and Dana Thomsen, respectively.
DESHEA HILL, CAL STATE FULLERTON – FIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Cal State Fullerton freshman Deshea Hill (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad HS) hit .625 in a conference series sweep over CSUN, earning her second career Big West Softball Field Player of the Week selection.
• Hill had a hit in each game of the series to finish 5-for-8 overall. She finished 2-for-3 in the first two games as the Titans won 4-1 and 8-1.
• Serving as the designated player – and returning to the lineup for the first time since Mar. 17 due to injury – Hill also had at least one RBI in all three games.
• Hill had a double and three RBI in the game one victory.
• She scored a run and drove in another in the game two triumph.
• Hill has recorded at least one hit in each of the last six games she has played din.

DANA THOMSEN, HAWAI‘I – PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Hawai‘i senior Dana Thomsen captured her first career Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week honor after tossing a pair of complete game shutouts against Cal Poly.
• Thomsen posted her third and fourth shutouts of the season in 1-0 and 11-0 victories over the Mustangs. She helped the Rainbow Wahine to their first conference series sweep since 2015.
• The right-hander now has seven career shutouts after collecting three as a junior.
• In her first appearance, Thomsen retired the first 10 Cal Poly batters before giving up a single to left with one out in the fourth. She gave up just four hits for the game, walking none and striking out four.
• In the 11-0, five inning run-rule victory, Thomsen surrendered just three hits while walking three and fanning one.
• Thomsen improved to 11-10 on the year while lowering her ERA to 2.95. She has tallied 15 complete games in 22 starts.
