No. 1 UC Davis downed No. 8 CSUN, 71-67, and No. 5 Hawai'i slid past No. 4 Long Beach State, 79-72, in the quarterfinals of the Big West Men's Basketball Tournament at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., to advance to semifinal action on Friday the 13th. Also advancing to the next round are the third-seeded UC Irvine Anteaters, who defeated No. 6 UC Riverside, 63-54, and No. 2 UC Santa Barbara after beating No. 7 Cal Poly, 54-50.
Second-Half Shooting Sends Ags To The Semis
Josh Ritchart hit five three-pointers and scored a team-high 21 points as top-seeded UC Davis rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit as the Aggies turned back upset-minded CSUN with a 71-67 men's basketball quarterfinal win at the Big West Tournament at Honda Center on Thursday afternoon.
Corey Hawkins added 15 points and J.T. Adenrele finished with 11, including nine after halftime, as UC Davis improved to 25-5. The Matadors got 21 points from Aaron Parks while Stephen Parks added 15. while finishing their season with a 9-24 record.

'Bows Edge Long Beach State, Advance To Big West Semifinal
History was made on Thursday evening as the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team notched its first-ever Big West Conference Tournament win with a 79-72 nail biter over Long Beach State in quarterfinal action at the Honda Center.
Garrett Nevels led the 'Bows (21-12) with 17 points on 7-12 shooting, including a pair of late jumpers in the paint to keep Hawai'i in the game.
Aaron Valdes had 14 points on 6-9 shooting from the floor, opening the game hitting his first four shots including a corner three to cap a 7-0 run and lift the 'Bows to a nine-point first-half lead.

'Eaters Open Big West Tourney With Win
Will Davis II scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Luke Nelson added 14 points to lead UC Irvine over UC Riverside, 63-54, in a quarterfinal game of the Big West Conference Tournament at the Honda Center Thursday night.

Bryson, Williams Pace Gauchos to 54-50 Big West Tournament win Over Cal Poly Thursday
On Monday, Alan Williams and Michael Bryson became the first UC Santa Barbara duo to be named first team All-Big West in the same season in a dozen years. In the first round of the Big West Tournament on Thursday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, they showed why.
