In 2011, the artist JR won the TED prize at the TED Conference in Long Beach, California. His goal was to create a global art project allowing groups of people to spread a message by capturing personalities in portraits. With each collage of black and white portraits, groups are standing up for what they believe in and are spreading the word about their cause. This year, the Big West Conference is taking part.

At the Big West Conference, we believe that no dream is too big – whether it be to continue playing a sport beyond collegiate athletics or to win the Big West Tournament in March, every athlete has a dream. Now you can join our athletes in our league-wide photography campaign that will feature hundreds of head-shots of students, fans, and athletes representing the tournament’s theme: #dreambig.

For the next few weeks, the Big West Conference will be traveling to each university and will be at various games to take photos of athletes and fans. Be sure to stop by the Big West Conference table when we’re at a university near you. Then, come by the Big West Tournament in March where photos will be displayed at the Honda Center.

“I wish for you to stand up for what you care about by participating in a global art project, and together we’ll turn the world...inside out.” -JR.
