ESPN has announced that the "wildcard" selections for Big West men's basketball games on February 1, 2014 have been made, with longtime rivals Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State set to clash at the Walter Pyramid on ESPN3 at 4:00 p.m. (PT), while UC Irvine and Cal Poly will meet at the Mott Athletic Center on ESPNU at 8:00 p.m. (PT).

The games are part of 32 Big West contests to be carried on the ESPN family of networks during the 2013-14 season.

Cal State Fullerton at Long Beach State will mark the eighth Big West basketball contest of the season on the ESPN3 platform, produced by the conference with its new mobile production unit launched in October of 2013.

UC Irvine at Cal Poly is the second of five regular-season contests to be carried on ESPN2 or ESPNU.  The remaining contests will air Mar. 1 and Mar. 6, while ESPN2 will also host a Mar. 1 game, with all contests determined utilizing a "wildcard" format in which ESPN will make its selections 3-4 weeks prior to the event.

In addition to 27 regular-season men's and women's contests, the Big West Men's Basketball Tournament semifinals and championship at Honda Center will appear across various ESPN platforms. The Friday, Mar. 14 semifinals will be televised live on ESPN3 and ESPNU at 6:30 and 9:00 p.m. (PT), respectively. In addition, the first semifinal will be tape delayed on ESPNU at 11:00 p.m. (PT). The championship game will tip on ESPN2 on Saturday, Mar. 15 at 7:30 p.m. (PT).

Fans will also be able to catch contests online via WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Xbox, Apple TV and Roku. The service is available nationwide at no additional cost to fans who receive their high speed internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated provider.
