Junior Will Davis II (Sacramento, Calif./New Hampton (N.H.) Prep) shot 73.1 percent from the floor to help UC Irvine to a 2-1 record, including a road win over Pac-12 Conference school Washington, earning the Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award.

The 6-8 forward drained 10 of 12 shots en route to 22 points against the Huskies in an 86-72 UCI win.  He added seven rebounds and two blocked shots in 26 minutes.

Davis II also had 12 points, three rebounds and two blocks in an 84-79 loss at Pacific.  He finished the week with 13 points in just 11 minutes in a 110-73 blowout of Pacifica.

For the week, Davis II averaged 15.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
