Ring's Walkoff Single Gives Matadors First Series Over UC Irvine Since 2004

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Nathan Ring singled to left center to score Ryan Raslowsky and give the Cal State Northridge Matadors (22-24, 9-9 Big West) a 5-4 win over the visiting UC Irvine Anteaters (28-20, 12-9 Big West) on Mother's Day at Matador Field. The win gave Northridge its first series win over the Anteaters since the 2004 season and propelled the Matadors into fifth place in the Big West standings with six conference games to play.
