TCU Rallies to Top Cal Poly Men's Basketball Team in 2012-13 Opener
Freshman forward Brian Bennett produced a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double during his first outing as a Cal Poly men's basketball player, but the Mustangs were held to just a pair of three-pointers during the final five minutes of play and dropped a 53-46 decision on Friday evening against TCU inside Daniel-Meyer Coliseum during the 2012-13 season opener for both programs.

UCSB Can't Overcome Turnovers, Loses Season Opener at LSU, 77-63
UC Santa Barbara entered its season-opening game at LSU on Friday night as the nation's third youngest team. The Gauchos travel roster of 13 includes seven freshmen and three sophomores. Against the Tigers, there were times when UCSB acted its age, but there were numerous bright spots in the road loss. Charles Carmouche had 16 points and Johnny O'Bryant III scored 13 points and had eight rebounds, all in the first half, to pace LSU to a 77-63 win at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
