Emilie Johnson's offensive outburst led UC Santa Barbara to a 1-1 week and earned her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors. This is her first accolade of the 2010-11 season and third of her career.

Johnson scored a career-high 31 points, shooting 11-of-12 from the field and 5-of-8 from the free throw line, in UC Santa Barbara's 69-62 win over Pacific. She added eight rebounds, two assists and one steal to her nightly total. She notched the first 30-point performance by a Gaucho since November 2006, while also posting the fifth highest single-game point total in the Big West this season.

Two days later in UCSB's loss to UC Davis, the Loomis, Calif., native displayed a second impressive showing with 24 points, six assists and four rebounds. Of her 24 points scored, 21 came from behind-the-arc as she drained a career-best seven three-pointers, including four in the final 1:10 of the game.

Others nominated: Jonae Ervin (Cal Poly), Jasmine Erving (Cal State Northridge), Paige Mintun (UC Davis), Brittany Waddell (UC Riverside), Gena Johnson (Pacific)
