Cal State Fullerton freshman Gabby Aragon finished with four hits while sophomore Morgan LeMond homered twice and drove in five to help power the host Titans to a doubleheader split with Long Beach State on Saturday, falling 4-3 in the opener before rebounding for a 5-1 victory in the nightcap in front of an ESPN national television audience at Anderson Family Field.

Aggies Remain Atop Big West With Softball Sweep

The UC Davis softball team kept its hold on first-place in the Big West Conference with a doubleheader sweep at Cal Poly Saturday afternoon at Bob Janssen Field. The Aggies posted a 4-3 victory in game one before winning the second game, 7-3. The victories extended the team's winning streak to six and, more importantly, improved it to 13-4 in the Big West. UC Davis leads second-place Cal State Northridge by one game and opened up a three-game cushion on Cal Poly with four games left in the season.

Matador Offense Explodes in Doubleheader Sweep at UC Riverside

The Cal State Northridge softball team (28-21, 12-5 Big West) swept a doubleheader against UC Riverside at Amy S. Harrison Field Saturday afternoon. Northridge stormed out to an 11-1, five-inning victory in game one. In game two, the offensive explosion continued as the Matadors recorded an 8-0, six-inning victory.

Back-to-Back Shutouts Give Tigers Their First Double Header Win In Conference

Putting all three facets of the game together throughout the day, the Pacific softball team picked up a pair of 7-0 shutouts over UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, May 8. The pair of wins for the Tigers on the day marked the first double header sweep of the conference season for Pacific while improving their record to 22-28 overall and 8-9 in the Big West while the Gauchos fell to 13-35 on the year and 4-13 in the conference.
