No. 8 Stanford broke the game open early and went on to defeat UC Davis, 17-0, Tuesday evening in a non-conference softball game at Smith Family Stadium. The Cardinal took advantage of an Aggie error in the first inning and scored 15 runs in the frame on its way to the five-inning victory. Marissa Araujo had both hits for UC Davis (13-22), including a double in the second inning.
