The UC Santa Barbara softball team (8-17) opened its spring break schedule by splitting a doubleheader at the University of San Diego (10-17) on Tuesday afternoon. After dropping the first game, 6-1, the Gauchos won game two, 6-1.

Turner Leads The Beach to Doubleheader Sweep over Illinois-Chicago
The Long Beach State softball team (16-13) extended its winning streak to five games with a doubleheader sweep against Illinois-Chicago Tuesday afternoon at the 49er Softball Complex. The Beach defeated the Flames, 5-3, and 3-2 (9 innings).

Softball Makes It Five In A Row After Sweep Of Utah Doubleheader
The UC Riverside softball team swept a doubleheader with Utah on Tuesday afternoon at Amy S. Harrison Field, winning 5-3 and 7-3. The Highlanders (14-14) have now won five straight games, the longest winning streak in the program's Division I history. The previous high was four games, last set from Mar. 11-14 in 2006. This is also the second-fastest the team has reached 14 wins in DI history.

Mustangs Fall Twice against No. 5 UCLA
Junior lefthander Anna Cahn yielded just two earned runs during the opening game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against No. 5 UCLA at Bob Janssen Field and senior first baseman Krysten Cary produced her team-leading fourth home run in the nightcap, but the Cal Poly softball program fell against the Bruins, 5-3 and 4-1.

No. 9 Stanford Defeats UC Davis, 6-2
Stanford (21-3) used a five-run third inning on its way to a 6-2 victory over UC Davis (9-18) Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference softball game at La Rue Field. The Cardinal entered the game ranked No. 9 in both national polls. The Aggies' Heather Zimmerman had one of just two extra-base hits in the game.
