Comebacks Fall Short as UCSB Drops Pair at Mustang Classic

UC Santa Barbara (7-14) battled back from early deficits against Iowa State (12-11) and Sacramento State (5-14) in a pair of games at Cal Poly's Mustang Classic at Janssen Field on Friday night. Unfortunately, the Gauchos were unable to complete either comeback as the Cyclones shut the door on the Gauchos with an 11-5 victory and the Hornets were able to capture a 5-2 win in a rain-shortened pairing.

Mother Nature Wins in Bay Area Battle

The Cal State Fullerton softball team's single game against Santa Clara scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday night has been postponed due to rain in Northern California. The Titans and Broncos will reconvene for a single game on Sunday morning (March 14) at 11:30 a.m. following their originally scheduled contest against Saint Mary's at 9:30 a.m. at PAL Stadium in San Jose.

Matadors Rally to 8-7 Victory over East Tennessee State

The Cal State Northridge softball team (10-12) defeated East Tennessee State, 8-7, Friday afternoon at the Bayer CropScience Classic on the campus of Fresno State. The Matadors scored all eight runs in the final three innings, coming all the way back from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the Lady Bucs.
