Jasmine Erving put together an impressive all-around week for Cal State Northridge, netting her Big West Player of the Week accolades.
The sophomore started her week with a game-best 21-point effort in CSUN’s non-conference road loss to Arizona. She shot 9-for-17 from the field, added a three-pointer in her only attempt and collected five rebounds and a steal.
Erving followed that with a career-high 31-point showing in the Matadors’ conference loss to Cal Poly. She shot 11-for-16 from the field and 8-of-11 from the charity stripe. Erving also connected on her lone three-point attempt, grabbed six rebounds, handed out two assists and blocked three shots.
For the week, Erving averaged 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. She shot a sizzling 60.6% from the field and 76.9% from the foul line on her way to her first weekly Big West honor.
