Long Beach State's T.J. Robinson (West Haven, Conn./Kolbe Cathedral HS) shined on a tough roadtrip that netted two defeats but provided a career milestone as the junior captured Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades.

Robinson became the 18th player in Long Beach State history to reach the 1,000-point career milestone, surpassing the mark with a career-high 31 points against North Carolina on Saturday.  Robinson made 13 of 19 shots overall and drained a career-best three treys in a hard fought 96-91 loss to the Tar Heels.

The forward also delivered nine points and 11 rebounds in LBSU’s 81-53 loss at Utah State on Tuesday.  The 11 caroms marked the seventh game this season that Robinson totalled double-digit rebounds.

For the week, Robinson averaged 20.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while shooting a solid 56.7% (17 of 30) from the floor.

He has scored 1,007 points in 74 career games.

Others nominated:  Orane Chin (Cal State Fullerton); Lenny Daniel (Cal State Northridge); Darren Moore (UC Irvine); Demetrece Young (Pacific)
