In her first collegiate game, freshman Danielle Peacon proved that she is a force to be reckoened with as she led Pacific to a 94-86 win over Sacramento State, which earned her the season's first Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor.

Peacon's first time donning the orange and black was spectacular as she set a school record for most points in a game by a freshman. Draining 33 points to shatter the the 23-year-old record, Peacon became just the third Tiger freshman to reach the 30-point mark.

The Sparks, Nev., native was also stellar on defense, notching 18 rebounds to complete a double-double. She also added two assists, two blocks and two steals to her total. Shooting 16-of-25 from the floor, Peacon aided in the Tigers scoring 94 points, which is quite the feat since Pacific was only able to score 80-or-more points twice last season.

Others nominated: Rachel Clancy (Cal Poly), Paige Mintun (UC Davis), Mikah Maly-Karros (UC Irvine), Brittany Waddell (UC Riverside), Emilie Johnson (UC Santa Barbara),
