Sophomore lefthander Anna Cahn struck out six hitters against zero walks as the Cal Poly softball team completed play at the Sacramento State-hosted Capital Classic with a 4-1 victory against No. 10 California that not only cemented a Sunday doubleheader sweep, but furthered the program’s winning streak to 13-straight games. Earlier Sunday at Shea Stadium, a run-scoring hit from Cahn in the fifth inning accounted for the eventual winning margin as the Mustangs edged Colorado State, 2-1.

Pacific Defeats Santa Clara, 8-4, Before Falling To No. 4 Stanford, 6-0, To Finish Play At The Stanford Invitational

For the second straight day, the Pacific softball team earned a split in the days action at the Stanford Invitational, defeating Santa Clara, 8-4, before falling to No. 4 Stanford, 6-0. The Tigers finished their final regular season tournament at 3-2 while improving to 15-14 on the year.
