Two double-doubles, which included a single-game school record 21 rebounds, was a performance worthy of the Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award. Cal Poly’s Megan Harrison accomplished just that en route to her second weekly accolade of the season.

In the Mustangs 70-60 win over Cal State Northridge, Harrison recorded 21 points and 12 rebounds for her first of two double-doubles on the week. She shot 8-of-13 from the field and drained 3-of-4 from beyond-the-arc.

Two days later versus Cal State Bakersfield, the Dripping Springs, Texas, native recorded her second-straight double-double and ninth-consecutive double-digit scoring game. Her 21 rebounds was the highest total by a Cal Poly player during the 15-year Division I era, second highest in program history. Harrison also became the school’s third-leading rebounder with 652 boards and the first Mustang in 35 years to score 20-plus points and grab 20-plus rebounds during a single game.

For the week, the 6-1 forward tallied a .425 field goal percentage and averaged 23.5 points and 16.5 rebounds per contest. Harrison led Cal Poly in points (47), rebounds (33) and three-point percentage (.500).

Others nominated: Megan Richardson (Cal State Fullerton), Whitney Fields (Long Beach State), Paige Mintun (UC Davis), Kemie Nkele (UC Riverside), Jenna Green (UC Santa Barbara)
