The Cal State Northridge softball team (13-9) split a doubleheader with Texas Tuesday at Matador Diamond. After falling 10-1 in the first game, the Matadors rallied behind the pitching of Debbie Duran, who tossed a complete game, to take a 4-1 decision from the Longhorns in the second game.

Mustangs Push Win Streak to 10-Straight Games with Sweep
A pair of home runs from junior first baseman Krysten Cary and longballs from senior shortstop Melissa Pura and sophomore designated player Anna Cahn helped the Cal Poly softball team finish a doubleheader sweep of Providence with a 12-1, five-inning nightcap victory Tuesday afternoon at Bob Janssen Field. Keyed by a complete-game four-hitter from Cahn, Cal Poly defeated the Friars in the opening game, 3-1.
