UCR Softball Drops Pair At aTEN Construction Invitational

UC Riverside and Colorado State returned to Amy S. Harrison Field Saturday morning to complete their rain-shortened contest from Friday afternoon in the UCR aTEN Construction Invitational. The Highlanders trailed 2-0 in the bottom of the second at the re-start, but had the bases loaded with no outs.

UCSB Defeats Long Beach State, Falls to No. 24 San Diego State

UC Santa Barbara (5-4) defeated defending Big West Conference Champion Long Beach State (3-4), 8-3, in eight innings to highlight action on Saturday at the Campbell/Cartier Classic being hosted by No. 24 San Diego State (4-2). Unfortunately, the Gauchos dropped their final contest of the tournament to the host Aztecs, 5-1.

UC Davis Softball Splits In Las Vegas

Jessica Hancock threw her first shutout of the season, and Kelly Harman homered to lead UC Davis to a 5-0 lead over BYU Saturday afternoon at the UNLV Louisville Slugger Desert Classic. Later in the evening, UC Davis (4-2) was defeated by Oregon State, 2-0.

Titans Split on Day Two in the Desert

The Cal State Fullerton softball team earned a split for the second straight day at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic, opening the day with a 1-0 victory over Virginia before falling to Utah by the score of 6-4 in the nightcap on Saturday in Las Vegas.
