Kristina Santiago (Santa Maria, Calif./Righetti HS) led Cal Poly to its first win at San Francisco since Dec. 15, 1981, earning her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors, for the week ending Dec. 13. This is Cal Poly's first weekly accolade of the season and Santiago's third of her career.

The junior forward sunk a career-high 12 field goals and posted the third-highest field goal percentage of her career (.800), en route to a 25-point performance to assist the Mustangs in their 73-52 win over the Dons. Last week's victory was only the second time the Mustangs defeated the Dons in school history and the first since 1981.

Santiago's 12 field goals was the most by a Mustang in more than two seasons. Her 25 points led all players and the eight rebounds tallied were a team best.

Others nominated: Megan Richardson (Cal State Fullerton), Lauren Sims (Long Beach State), Kendall Rodriguez (Pacific)
