In-State Competition on Tap for Big West Cross Country

Five of the nine Big West cross country clubs will hit the ground running this weekend at three meets in the state of California.

Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara will head south on I-5 to "America’s Finest City," San Diego,  to take part in the Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State. The Invitaitonal is split into five different races, the people’s race (5K), women’s open (5K), women’s invitational (5K), men’s invitational (8K) and men’s open (5K) and will be run at Balboa Park.

In other cross country action, UC Davis and Pacific will also be in competition over the weekend.

The Aggies will remain local this weekend as they take part in the Hornet Invitational hosted by Sacramento State. The race, which will be held at Granite Regional Park, will feature a 5K on the women’s side and a four-mile run for the men’s competition.

Meanwhile, Pacific will also compete in a local meet as it heads to the Bay Area to take part in the Mills Invitational in Oakland.
