Brown Averages Double-Double To Help Pacific Sweep At Home

Pacific junior forward Anthony Brown (Sacramento, Calif./Capital Christian HS) earned his second Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, cleaning up in the scoring, rebounding and shooting columns to spur the Tigers to a pair of home conference victories.
   
Brown averaged a double-double of 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 61.1% (11 of 18) from the floor as the Tigers defeated Cal State Fullerton (89-82) and UC Irvine (59-53).  
   
The 6-7 forward delivered his fifth double-double of the season with season highs of 20 points and 14 rebounds against the Titans.  He also sank all eight free throw attempts while adding a block and a steal in 35 minutes of play.
   
Against the Anteaters, Brown contributed 12 points and eight rebounds on 5 of 8 shooting.  He also hit a critical free throw with 21 seconds left to give the Tigers a four-point lead and help ensure victory.  Brown made 10 of 12 (83.3%) free throws for the week.
   
This is Brown's second POW award of the season.  He earned the first award on Dec. 17.
