UC Santa Barbara's Jessica Wilson closed-out the 2006-07 regular season with the her second Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the season.

The Sacramento, Calif., native was a catalyst last week, leading the Gauchos to a pair of victories on the road, including a 90-79 win over Cal State Northridge to clinch the Big West’s second seed with a 10-4 mark. Wilson shot extremely well in both contests, posting a .619 clip from the field and .714 mark from three-point range.

With 20 points, 10 rebounds and three steals, Wilson led the Gauchos in the 79-67 victory over the Pacific Tigers. Thursday's performance was her fourth double-double this season and her third game with 20-plus points. In Saturday's matchup with the Matadors, the 5-10 guard scored UC Santa Barbara’s first five points to help build an early Gaucho lead that they would never relinquish. She finished with a team-high 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

UC Santa Barbara returns to action Friday, March 9 in a semifinal matchup of the 2007 Big West Women's Basketball Tournament in Anaheim, Calif. The Gauchos earned the second seed in the tournament, which awarded UCSB a free pass to the semifinals.
