Cal Poly's Jessica Eggleston followed up last week's career-best performance with two impressive outings to collect her second straight Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors, for the week ending Feb. 25. This is Eggleston's third accolade of the season and fourth of her career.

With back-to-back double-doubles last week, the Oceanside, Calif., native became the seventh player in Cal Poly history to notch 1,000 career points. Eggleston, who recorded her 14th and 15th double figure scoring outings of the season, became the first player this season to average double figures in points and rebounds in the same week.

The 6-1 forward picked up her first double-double in the upset win over first-place UC Riverside with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Two days later in the 75-64 victory over Cal State Fullerton, she drained 16 points and grabbed 12 boards for her second double-double of the week. The pair of Big West wins extended the Mustangs’ win streak to eight and vaulted Cal Poly to a three-way tie for second place in the conference.

The Mustangs (13-12/8-4) carry their hot streak on the road this week as they conclude the regular season with trips to Cal State Northridge (3/1) and Pacific (3/3).
