Pacific junior forward Anthony Brown (Sacramento, Calif./Capital Christian HS) captured Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors, helping the Tigers to a pair of wins thanks to his clutch play in the latter half of both games.

Brown averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 66.7% (10 of 15) from the field as the Tigers defeated Santa Clara (71-65) on the road and Montana (76-71) in overtime at home.  It was the first career Player of the Week award for Brown.

The 6-6 forward came off of the bench for the first time this season in the Santa Clara win, posting nine of his 15 points in the second half to help Pacific improve to 2-2 in road games.  Brown hit 5 of 7 shots from the floor and added a steal as the Tigers won on Santa Clara's court for the first time since 2001.

In the Montana victory, Brown returned to a starting role and produced 16 points, eight rebounds and a steal.  He scored five of his points in overtime, including two free throws with 15 seconds left to clinch the win.  Brown made 5 of 8 floor shots in 33 minutes, as well as hitting 6 of 8 from the free throw line.

Brown is the second Tiger to earn Player of the Week honors this season, joining Steffan Johnson, who was the honoree for the week of Nov. 5-11.

Others nominated: Matt Hanson, Cal Poly; Kevin Bland, UC Irvine; Severin Gates, UC Riverside
