Guiding the Cal State Fullerton Titans to a 2-0 week with a career-best performance, Toni Thomas nabs her second Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors, for the week ending Jan. 21. The 5-11 forward received her first accolade of the season on Dec. 11, 2006.

In the 68-57 win over Long Beach State, Thomas drained 7-of-18 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line to total 18 points. She narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds.

Two nights later against UC Irvine Thomas showed why she is the league's leading scorer, as she lit up the scoreboard with a career-high 29 points. Her impressive mark was the most points scored by a Titan since Amber Pruitt put up the same number against Pacific back in 2004. The 11-of-15 (.733) shooting performance against the Anteaters was a season-high for the San Bernardino, Calif., native. In the 76-62 win over UCI, Thomas also collected seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

For the week, Thomas shot 54.5 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe. Her 23.4 points per game average was well above her season average of 17.9 points per contest.

Cal State Fullerton, winning back-to-back games for only the second time this season, is dormant from Big West play this week as they travel to future Big West foe UC Davis for a Saturday matinee.
