For the second time in three weeks, Cal State Northridge's LaJoyce King grabs Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors after posting a pair of double-doubles in two road wins last week to help the Matadors reach their best conference start since joining the Big West in 2001-02. This marks the fourth weekly honor of the season for the Matadors - a conference high.

The Compton, Calif., native scored 12 points and 14 rebounds in CSUN's 76-60 win over UC Irvine on Thursday. She topped her performance in Saturday's 73-63 victory over the 49ers, scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to post her third consecutive double-double and seventh in her last 10 contests.

The 5-9 guard was 6-for-11 from the floor on the week and drew numerous fouls driving the lane to visit the line 20 times, successfully sinking 15 from the stripe. She also collected five assists, two steals and two blocks.

King is tied for first in the conference in rebounds per game (10.6) and is ninth in scoring at 13.3 points per contests.

Cal State Northridge (7-10/4-1) takes a break from conference action this week as they welcome future Big West member UC Davis to The Matadome Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. The Matadors lead the all-time series over the Aggies 8-5.
