Off the bench, Cal State Fullerton junior Amber Pruitt has kept momentum rolling for the Titans and was honored as the 2005 Best Sixth Woman.
Cal State Fullerton senior Amber Pruitt guided the Titans' offense to a pair of wins, as CSF downed UC Irvine, 75-67, and upset league-leading Long Beach State, 62-61, earning her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the week ending Feb. 5. Against the Anteaters, the Carson, Calif., native led the Titans with 18 points, all coming in the second half, which brought CSF back from a nine-point halftime deficit. In Saturday’s contest against the Long Beach State 49ers, Pruitt notched her third double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) of the season and fell just one point shy of reaching 1,000 career points. Twelve of her 14 points against LBSU came after the break to down the 49ers 62-61, giving Head Coach Maryalyce Jeremiah her 400th overall win.
